Program Overview
The Taekwondo Program at GroundUp Sports Academy aims to provide young athletes with a holistic development experience, focusing on technical skills, physical conditioning, mental toughness, and character development.
Program Objectives
- Develop Technical Skills: Enhance punching, kicking, blocking, and striking techniques through structured coaching and training sessions.
- Improve Physical Conditioning: Increase flexibility, strength, speed, and agility through specialized fitness training and conditioning exercises.
- Foster Mental Toughness: Develop focus, discipline, and confidence through mental skills training, visualization techniques, and sparring exercises.
- Promote Character Development: Instill values of respect, self-control, and perseverance through interactive workshops, team-building activities, and mentorship programs.
Program Structure
- Age Groups: The program will cater to three age groups: U-8, U-12, and U-18.
- Training Sessions: Regular training sessions will be conducted three times a week, focusing on technical skills, physical conditioning, and mental toughness.
- Belt Ranking System: Participants will progress through a belt ranking system, with opportunities to earn higher belts through assessments and evaluations.
- Competition and Events: Participants will have opportunities to compete in local, national, and international Taekwondo tournaments and events.
